Located just 20-minutes on foot from your door to the center of Balgue, this top choice on TripAdvisor has a great range of food and drinks, Menu is updated regularly but usually features food from a range of cultures, including curries, ceviche and classic burgers. Current menu here for delivery to Selvista. Our faves are the thai green curry and brownie to finish.

Cafe Campestre: farm-to-fork
The owner is an English guy, Ben, who has been a part of the community here on Ometepe for 15+ years. He runs his own organic farm (our neighbours here at Selvista!) which provides the salads and herbs for the kitchen.
He grows mustard lettuce and kale among other items. They raise their own pigs and make delicious bacon. They produce their own peanut butter, coffee and many other lovely gifts to take home.
There are a multitude of easily organizable transport options in Nicaragua. From chicken buses to private drivers, you can easily navigate the country on any budget.
You can rent scooters, motorbikes and ATVs (quads) to get around on the island, or you can bring a car on the ferry or hire a driver. You can also explore much of the local area on foot.
